COMMUNITY GATHERINGS

your moment away

Wilding Out creates outdoor experiences designed to help people step away from the pace and noise of everyday life through movement, nature and shared experiences outdoors – no full weekend away required.

Built around walking, fresh air, beautiful landscapes and meaningful connection, each gathering is designed to get people moving, exploring, and spending time outdoors in a way that feels energising, grounding and enjoyable. Whether it’s a sunrise walk, a gentle stroll with little ones in tow, or time spent covering meaningful miles through nature, the focus is always the same: creating space to reset, gain perspective, and reconnect through movement and time outside.

The Community Gatherings are a chance to spend more time outdoors alongside others through welcoming, relaxed experiences designed to feel accessible and enjoyable. From Friday 5am clubs and Sling & Stroll walks to seasonal gatherings and monthly community walks, there are different ways to join depending on what you’re looking for.

upcoming outdoor experiences

These are our upcoming outdoor experiences, designed to help you slow down, reconnect and enjoy simple pleasures outdoors. Come solo, with friends or join a welcoming group along the way.

friday 5am club

From May through to September

An early morning walking club for people who want to start the day differently. Running annually from May through to September, the Friday 5am Club is about getting outside before the world fully wakes up – moving through quiet landscapes, watching the sunrise, breathing in fresh air, and beginning the day with a sense of energy, perspective and accomplishment before most people have even made their first coffee. These guided early morning walks are slightly more energetic in pace than other Wilding Out gatherings, designed to get the body moving, the legs stretched and the heart gently pumping before the day begins. The idea is simple: by the time Friday evening rolls around – whether that’s after work, the school run or a busy day of life admin – your movement is already done and your weekend can begin. Some mornings might bring golden sunrises and birdsong, others low cloud, wind or dramatic skies – but that’s all part of the experience. Whether you come for the movement, the mindset shift, the community or simply the feeling of doing something a little different before work, the Friday 5am Club is a chance to step outside the everyday and start the day feeling more alive… and be home just as the rest of the world is waking up.

SLING & STROLL

Pilot series coming soon

A gentle outdoor walking experience for parents and carers with babies who want to get outside, move and connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming way. Sling & Stroll offers a gentle alternative to more traditional parent and baby groups, taking things outdoors and focusing on movement, fresh air and connection in nature. These guided walks are designed specifically for babies in slings or baby carriers only, allowing the group to move safely and comfortably through the landscape. This experience is not suitable for prams or pushchairs, and babies cannot be carried in arms while walking for safety reasons. The focus is on gentle, flexible movement with plenty of time to pause, feed, settle and move at the pace of the group. Some morning will feel calm and still, others will be shaped by the unpredictable rhythm of being outdoors with little ones – but that’s all part of it. Whether you come for the gentle movement, the chance to meet other parents or simply to spend time outside in a supportive space, Sling & Stroll is a chance to step away from home life and into nature with your baby close to you. When you return home, your lungs will be full of fresh air and you’ll have that feeling of having done something just for you.
